The International TCM Center is founded by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) and the Europe China Foundation to promote Traditional Chinese Medicine outside China, to guard and outline the standards of quality in the field of TCM offered by Institutions, Organizations, Clinics, Education and Training Centers, Healthcare Centers, Research Centers and TCM Professionals. 

The ITCMC will support existing TCM related Centers and professionals when they have proven to be professional, experienced and authorized. After approval the ITCMC offers the Quality Trade Mark - standing for Professionalism, Integrity and High Quality Service in the field of TCM- to Professional TCM Organizations, Institution, Centers and professionals when they are working and offering their services according the standards of the ITCMC. The list of standards will be send to you at your request.  

ITCMC is a joint-venture between the Europe China Foundation, the Fukai Hong Group and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM). SATCM is part of the Ministry of Health from the P.R. China. The ITCMC is also fully supported by the World Federation of Acupuncture & Moxibustion Societies (WFAS).  

   The approved Organizations, Institutions, Centers and Professionals
    will get an official document signed by representatives of the ITCMC
    including representatives of the State Administration of Traditional
    Chinese Medicine. 
 
    The approved party will also receive a plaque with the ITCMC quality
    logo and can mention the quality label in its publications and use it
    for promotion. The ITCMC quality label stands for integrity, high
    quality service and professionalism in the field of Traditional Chinese
    Medicine and is recognized by the highest Chinese authorities.

The Europe China Foundation has signed an agreement of cooperation with the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies in China.  

16th June, 2008,  Professor Deng Liangyue, President of WFAS met the ECF delegation. Mr. Visscher, head of the delegation and President of ECF introduced the basic condition of the foundation. ECF was founded to promote China in Europe through friendly communication and offering an international platform of economical development.

To the three goals of the visit, the delegation held deep communication with Professor Deng Liangyue exchanging their minds: about the earthquake in 12th, May, Leen Visscher donated privately a fieldhospital for the earthquake victims; ECF have organized a charity Concert in th Great Hall of the People. Mr. Visscher says China and Europe have been keeping long-term friendship on acupuncture and TCM. WFAS and ECF will use their influence to get this organized. After cautious and deep discuss, both sides made an agreement. Professor Deng Liangyue and Mr. Leen Visscher signed the Cooperative Frame Agreement in relation of the etsbalishment of the International TCM Center.

WFAS and ECF will promote the development of acupuncture and TCM in China and Europe by offering a global international platform to support the development of acupuncture and TCM; offering efficiency and quality of acupuncture and TCM; the introduction of advanced acupuncture and TCM into the public medical healthcare system.
